Notice: Free Evaluation plan change

We changed Stript’s free desktop plan from a recurring monthly allowance to a lifetime Free Evaluation for one verified email identity on one active device.

What changed

• Free Evaluation includes all current single-device desktop features.
• One verified email identity can successfully process five new documents in total on one active device. The allowance does not reset monthly.
• You can use the bundled sample documents as often as you like. They do not count toward the allowance.
• Failed or cancelled processing does not use the allowance. An interrupted attempt remains retryable for the same document.
• Deleting a successfully processed document does not refund the allowance.
• Existing documents remain usable. Re-detection, anonymization, restoration, and export of an already processed document do not use another document.
• Existing installations updated from the former monthly model receive five fresh documents after Free Evaluation activation. Documents processed before the update do not use them.
• Stript Pro remains €49/month or €470/year and provides unlimited new-document processing on one activated device plus email support. We usually respond within two business days. Product feedback and feature requests from Pro users receive priority consideration. This does not guarantee implementation, inclusion in the product roadmap, or any delivery date.
• If Pro ends, documents already processed under Pro remain usable. Any unused Free Evaluation documents remain available.
• Enterprise remains upcoming, with a launch planned during Q3 2026 and custom terms and pricing.

Document processing remains local. Activating the Free Evaluation requires a verified email address and acceptance of the applicable Terms or AGB and Privacy Policy. This happens before a real document is loaded and is not connected to a document. Stript does not request online approval for each document and never receives document content or document-derived information.

After activation, the signed evaluation grant is valid offline for up to 30 days. Stript periodically synchronizes only the aggregate count from zero to five and a signed security state. If the grant has not been renewed within 30 days, only the start of another new evaluation document pauses until a brief connection succeeds. Existing documents, samples, restoration, anonymization, and exports remain available. Free Evaluation renewal and Pro license verification are separate.

Why we changed it

The new model lets people evaluate complete workflows before buying. This includes restoration, rules, profiles, custom entity types, and compliance exports. Pro is now a simpler decision. It removes the limit on new documents.

Existing users

The update does not remove access to your existing documents. The first launch after updating shows the same information in the app. Choosing “Continue with Stript” records that this plan-change information was shown. The separate Free Evaluation activation screen forms the clickwrap agreement when you accept the legal documents and request verification. You may defer activation and continue using existing documents and samples.
